Nathaniel “Nate” Smith joined the firm in August of 2021 after working for over a decade representing defendants in personal injury and other liability claims. Nate knows the insurance defense world extremely well and uses that unique knowledge to obtain the best possible results for his current clients.
Nate graduated from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento in May of 2007, receiving highest honors in Trial Advocacy and Appellate Advocacy. Upon passing the bar in December of 2007, Nate has been an active litigator, developing a very successful trial practice while representing both individuals and large business clients in a wide variety of claims. He also served as the President of the Solano County Bar Association in 2014. Nate has been named a “Super Lawyer Rising Star” five times since 2014, a designation reserved for the top 2.5% of all practicing attorneys under age 40. After becoming partner at a preeminent Bay Area civil defense firm, Nate decided to shift his focus to help those who have been wrongfully injured by the negligent actions of others, a role he enjoys tremendously while working with the Krankemann Law Offices.
When not practicing law, Nate enjoys playing golf, exploring the outdoors, and accompanying his two sons to their swim meets. He has been happily married for 20 years and is a Northern California native.
